1975 BMW 2002 tii

Description

The BMW 2002 is not only a wonderful entry level classic car but is also very significant in the Bavarian car maker’s history. Planned as a slightly smaller version of the ‘New Class’ saloon, the car which effectively saved the company from bankruptcy, the 2002 soon gained a large following of its own and was made from 1966 until production stopped in 1977, with a total of about 400,000 ‘02s having been built.

The 2002 featured BMW's first four-cylinder engine since the BMW 309 ended production in 1936 and more than 3.5 million M10 engines were produced during the M10's 26 year production run, and it was used in many BMW models, as well as being used in turbocharged form in Formula One racing, producing up to 1,400 hp in qualifying trim.

The 2002 Tii offered here has been extensively restored, the very high standard of work being completed in August 2020, and the car shows just 12589 kilometres on the odometer.

The BMW currently has a Danish title and registration and has just come out of long-term Danish ownership.Currently located in Denmark
