1972 Rover P5

Description

The P5 was designed by David Bache and considered to be a revolutionary step for Rover in construction and style, manufactured from 1958-1973 originally by the Rover company 1958-1967, and then Leyland 1967-1968 and finally British Leyland 1968-1973.

What makes the car special is that it has been almost exclusively owned by p5 club members and the former Lord Mayor of London, Sir Christopher Leaver! They all loved and cherished this superb piece of British motoring history. There are many handwritten notes from one owner to another, including a letter to Sir Christopher Leaver from the previous owner as he describes how beautiful this car is. This combined elegance with dignity, and traditionally well-appointed interior model of car was popular with other dignitaries including Prime Ministers and Her Majesty the Queen.

A superb usable example that drives “absolutely amazing” according to the owner.
