The Porsche Macan is a high- performance five-door luxury crossover USV produced by the German car manufacturer Porsche from 2014. It was built in in Leipzig, Germany.
Initially the car was announced as a development project in 2010, however it was formally announced by Porsche in 2011.
The Macan model name was decided in 2012 and is derived from the Indonesian word for Tiger.
