1970 NSU Ro80
Description
1970 NSU Ro80
When the NSU Ro80 first hit the roads back in 1967, it made a futuristic impression with its streamlined bodywork and exotic 115-hp rotary engine. Designed by Claus Luthe and built at their Neckarsulm (NSU) factory in West Germany between 1967-1977. It was awarded the European car of the year in 1968.
Comparisons have since been made that the aerodynamics of this car and the 1982 Audi 100 built in same factory some 15 years later were very similar.
This stunning NSU Ro80 is finished in Guards Red with Black Leather interior, this combination is one of the finest you will find.
This NSU had a nut and bolt restoration, and comes with a massive file of history, which includes the photographic journey it made through restoration. It is on its original UK plate, and is ready to drive away. Everything on this car is working perfectly, and she drives like a dream. The rotary engine is in perfect condition, and the semi-automatic gearbox is seamless in its performance. This is a most unusual car as a number of them had their engines replaced by standard combustion engines.
These original versions do not come to market very often, and this one will not disappoint its new owner.

By setting a proxy bid, the system will automatically bid on your behalf to maintain your position as the highest bidder, up to your proxy bid amount. If you are outbid, you will be notified via email so you can opt to increase your bid if you so choose.
If two of more users place identical bids, the bid that was placed first takes precedence, and this includes proxy bids.
Another bidder placed an automatic proxy bid greater or equal to the bid you have just placed. You will need to bid again to stand a chance of winning.
