Description

Tiger Racing (Sportscars) is a kit car manufacturer, formed as Tiger Cars Ltd in London in 1989 by Jim Dudley. In 1998 they moved to new premises in Peterborough and changed their name to Tiger Sportscars Ltd.

Manufactured in 2003/4 and one of 22 that were factory built as this particular model was not available in kit form

When the owner purchased the car they were informed that it had never been used on a track and had spent the last 16 years in dry storage!

The seat had never been fitted and came separate at the point of purchase.

Tyres are the original factory fitted Toyo Proxis

The chassis is 90% round tubed space framed and powder coated

The Body is GRP with Carbon

Fitted with a 1800cc 16 valve Zetec engine supplied directly from Ford with twin 45 Webers and then mated to a Hewland Mk 9-5 speed gearbox

Steering is rack and pinion -1.75 turns

Disc brakes front and rear

Suspension is front top rocker and rear hub with trailing arms

Fully adjustable shock absorbers all round

Wheel base is 2215mm

Overall length -3.5 metres

Weight -460 kgs

Front wheels are 15 x 7 and rears are 15 x 8

Comes with fully plumbed in fire extinguisher, brake biase valve

Ideal for hill climbs/sprints/track days

Unused since being in my possession but started regular and driven minimally to ensure clutch and gearbox operate correctly

In summary a beautifully engineered car that looks fantastic and just needs to be used as intended or continue to be a “man cave” show piece!
