Very rare and very original
211,000km
3+ owners
2.0 litre engine with dual solex carbs
In the process of being UK registered
South African Import
Brown leather interior
Detracting step
This bus is very clean and was recently imported from South Africa where it was kept in dry storage most of its life and as such has almost no rust whatsoever
There are very few of these in this kind of unmolested original condition
I have acquired some handmade period correct mud flaps that have not yet been fitted
This van runs so smooth and compared to 1.6lt early models this bus makes small work of motorway miles, making it much more practical
It has recently had the engine taken apart cleaned serviced and put back together by a classic vw specialist
There are receipts for this work the owner has met the previous owner and can assure you it has come from a good family and a well looked after collection of many classic cars (in dry storage) this is a great investment so don't miss out!
There is a small tear in headliner
A couple of very small bits of rust which there are photos to back this up (and I mean very small)
The previous owner due to his love of originality when he had the front seats repaired, he used the material from the spare wheel cover so you wouldn’t even notice any repair but due to this the spare wheel cover isn’t fully original
The van has small bits of paint correction here and there
The timing needs to be adjusted slightly

By setting a proxy bid, the system will automatically bid on your behalf to maintain your position as the highest bidder, up to your proxy bid amount. If you are outbid, you will be notified via email so you can opt to increase your bid if you so choose.
If two of more users place identical bids, the bid that was placed first takes precedence, and this includes proxy bids.
Another bidder placed an automatic proxy bid greater or equal to the bid you have just placed. You will need to bid again to stand a chance of winning.
